The TP murder case has once again come into the limelight as
those who stand to benefit from a CBI inquiry and those who are against such an
inquiry have come up with their reactions to the development.
While the wife of the slain leader said that the government
could have taken more effective steps to explain the seriousness of the case to
the CBI, Pinarayi Vijayan, the state secretary of the CPM said that the
decision of the CBI to not to investigate the case was natural and obvious.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the government had
pursued the decision of the CBI and had once again requested it to investigate
the case. He said that the whole of Kerala wants the inquiry and even the head
of the opposition in Kerala had requested a probe into the matter.
While Rema said that the government has to try once again to
prevail on the CBI to start an investigation, Chandy said that his government
would keep urging for a CBI inquiry into the case. Rema also said that she
would try the legal route if the government fails to initiate an inquiry.
